Today, there are approximately 1000 different aircraft types. This makes it impossible to create a unique icon for every single aircraft model.
Our current solution thus is to combine aircraft of approximately the same size under the same icon. Also, in addition to icons for planes, you will be able to find icons for ground vehicles, hot-air balloons, drones, and satellites.
We are constantly working on the data underneath for improvement.
If you should see any erroneous display (such as e.g. a ground vehicle with a plane icon), please feel free to reach out to support - we very much appreciate this kind of feedback and will take care of such reports as soon as possible.
